Hoopa Valley sits along the Trinity River. One-week program will expose children and families to: ● Reduce the risk of drowning ● Build confidence in and around open water ● Teach life-saving skills that protect the entire community In a rural, river-based community — it is a survival skill.

This project reflects a commitment to ensuring that geography and income doesn't prevent a child’s ability who's living in a tribal and rural community to be safe in water or succeed in sport.
It's not just a lesson program — it is a drowning prevention initiative, a health equity effort, a youth development program, a bridge to opportunity and so much more.
